The Spectre Squads serve as the eyes and ears of the Astra Militarum regiment. These veterans consist of especially hardened warriors with experience in field operations, intelligence gathering and aggressive reconnaissance in the most adverse conditions. They are prone to a culture of personal initiative, which - unusually for the massive ranks of the Imperial Guard - is tolerated by their superiors.
