The Challenger 2 is the main battle tank of the British ground forces. These tanks were used in combat operations in Kosovo and Iraq (from 2003 to September 1, 2010). In May 2009, BAE Systems announced that it was curtailing production of tanks of this model due to the lack of a defense order from the British government. In January 2023, the British Prime Minister's office announced a decision to supply 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine.
