2C25 "Octopus-SD" uses a modified chassis of the BMD-3 combat vehicle. It is equipped with a 2V-06-2S diesel engine developing 510 horsepower. The tank has hydropneumatic suspension with adjustable clearance. "Octopus-SD" is completely amphibious. On the water, it is set in motion by two water jets. It is seaworthy up to Sea State 3. It can also fire its main gun at a limited turning distance while afloat. This light tank can be landed with a crew on board.
