T-62 (GBTU Index - Object 166) is a Soviet medium and main battle tank of the first post-war generation. Adopted by the USSR Army in 1961.
Created with the T-55 tank in mind. It was produced in the USSR from 1962 to 1975. The world's first serial tank with smoothbore weapons and the mass of a medium tank with a high level of reservation.
