VK 30.01 (H) or Panzerkampfwagen VI (7.5 cm) is a German heavy tank developed by the Henschel company in 1937-40 as a promising replacement for the Pz.Kpfw. IV. The design used many innovations, such as torsion suspension, semi-automatic gearboxes and multi-radius turning mechanisms. Prototype tests revealed a number of problems, and with the beginning of the war, the main priority was given to increasing the production of serial tanks, so work on the VK 30.01 (H) was slow.
