The E-series is a program to develop a series of experimental German tanks from World War II. None of the tanks designed under the program, except for the E100, have left the design stage.
Despite the fact that the situation on the fronts, and most importantly, the acute shortage of raw materials made the mass production of new generation tanks unrealistic, intensive research and design work was carried out and prototypes were built.
The priority was rather exploratory developments on new components and mechanisms, rather than mass production, so the E-series projects were entrusted to companies that were not involved in the production of tanks for the f
