Dimensions of the finished model: Length 258 mm; Width 94 mm.
The E 25 was the second largest tank in the Entwicklungsfahrzeug series, built by Oberbaurat Kniepkamp from Wa Pruef 6. The detailed design contract was awarded to Argus Werke in Karlsruhe, with Dr. Klaue in charge of the project.
The E 25 was to be rear-wheel drive and share many similarities with the E 10. In January 1945, the Entwicklungskommission decided that the design was still worth developing as it again filled a vacancy in the Panzer program for the 25 ton class vehicles.
Design has not progressed far enough to consider mass production.
