PZL.23 Karaś - Polish light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. Serial production of version A began in 1936, with a total of 40 aircraft built. Option B with a different engine was produced from 1936 to 1938, a total of 240 cars were produced. Polish bomber and reconnaissance squadrons received PZL.23B aircraft, and variant A vehicles were transferred to aviation schools. The Karas was the main Polish bomber used during the German invasion of Poland in September 1939. The PZL.42 was an attempt to create a modernized replacement for the PZL.23 aircraft. Only one prototype was built in 1936.
