The Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4, or simply Bf 109E-4, was one of the variants of the famous German fighter aircraft of World War II. It was an early version of the Bf 109E series, which was also called the "Emil".
Design and role: The Bf 109E-4 was a single-seat, all-metal monoplane. It was used by the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) for air superiority and interception.
The Bf 109E-4 was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 601A in-line liquid-cooled engine producing approximately 1,200 hp.
The standard armament of the Bf 109E-4 included two 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns mounted in the engine bay and a 20 mm MG FF cannon mounted in the wings
The maximum speed was approximately 560 km/h (355 mph), and the combat radius was approximately 500
