The AML-60 (Auto Mitrailleuse Légère, or "Light Machine Gun Car") is a fast, long-range and relatively cheap armored car with excellent reconnaissance capabilities. Designed on a small, lightly armored 4×4 chassis, it weighs approximately 5.5 tons and is suitable for air deployment. The AML-60-7 was the initial production model and featured a rounded turret with twin 7.5mm machine guns and a breech-mounted 60mm mortar, with 3,800 7.5mm rounds and 43 (53) mortar rounds. The AML 60-20 replaced the 7.5mm MG with a 20mm M621 autocannon with 500 rounds.
