Panzerkampfwagen I (Pz.Kpfw.I, Pz.I; transliterated as Panzerkampfwagen I) is a German light tank of the 1930s. In Western literature, the name Panzer I (Panzer I) is also common, in Soviet literature it was traditionally designated as T-1. According to the German departmental system of designations of military equipment, it bore the index Sd.Kfz.101. The first German serial tank after the end of the First World War, the Pz.Kpfw.I was developed in 1930-1934 by the companies "Krupp" and "Daimler-Benz". Serially produced from 1934 to 1937, a total of 1,575 tanks of this type were produced.
