Sd.Kfz. 8 - heavy half-track tractor. Like all half-track tractors produced during the war in Germany, the Sd.Kfz. 8 tractor had a front steered automobile axle and a half-track engine. On each side of the engine were equipped with six double rubber support slides. It was mainly used to transport 21 cm Mörser 18 mortars, 15 cm Kanone 18 guns and 10.5 cm FlaK 38 heavy anti-aircraft guns. The tractor also served as the basis for the creation of a self-propelled artillery mount armed with the legendary 88-mm anti-aircraft gun Fla. der 8.8-cm Flak 18.
