HMS Vanguard was built in Barrow-in-Furness by Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering (now BAE Systems Maritime - Submarines [English]) and launched on 4 March 1992. Adopted on August 14, 1993.
Two crews were formed on the boat - the left and right sides.
