Fairey Fulmar is a British carrier-based single-engine monoplane fighter that was in service with the British Navy Air Force in the initial phase of World War II. The Fairey Aviation Company built 600 of these aircraft from January 1940 to December 1942. The project was developed on the basis of the Fairey P.4/34, which in turn was a further development of the Fairey Battle light bomber.
