T-62 - Soviet main battle tank, so-called. 2nd generation of the Cold War and modern times. The first prototypes of this machine were built in the late 1950s, and it entered service in 1961, although it was first introduced to the public in 1965. In total, about 20,000 machines of this type were produced during mass production! The combat weight of the tank was 37-40 tons. The drive was provided by a single V-55 engine with an HP 580 power. The main armament was a 115 mm 2A20 smoothbore gun, the secondary armament consisted of a 7.62 mm PKT machine gun and a 12.7 mm DShK machine gun.
