Soviet medium tracked high-speed artillery tractor, model 1969. Intended for towing trailers, transporting people and various cargoes on all types of roads and off-roads. Adopted in service in 1970. In the Soviet army, they were used in the 1970s and 1980s as tractors for towing heavy guns, for example, the 130-mm M-46 guns. Since the mid-1970s, due to the reduction in towed artillery in the army, it began to be massively transferred to the national economy. Designed by the Special Design Bureau of the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant. In connection with the conversion of KMZ to the production of BMP-1, production was transferred to Poland.
