Leopard 2A4 is a German main battle tank. The fourth modernization of the Leopard-2 tank. It was produced from 1985 to 1992. As of 2023, the tank has been decommissioned in Germany, but is still in service in a number of other countries.
In February-March 2023, Ukraine received 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks from Poland. In March 2023, Ukraine received 8 Leopard 2A4NO tanks from Norway. In April 2023, 6 of the 10 Leopard 2A4E tanks promised to Ukraine were shipped from Spain. In February-April 2023, Ukraine received 8 Leopard 2A4 CAN tanks from Canada. Two Leopard 2A4s were irretrievably lost near Malaya Tokmachka in the summer of 2023. In March 2024, it became known that Spain would transfer another 19 Leopard 2A4 tank
