During World War II, about 13 thousand copies of this robust and reliable 2-ton ambulance were produced. It was based on a civilian truck and developed with the participation of the Medical Corps and had bench seats that could be converted into bunk beds. It served in France, North Africa, Italy and even throughout Western Europe after the invasion of Normandy and was often found not only in army units, but also on airfields.
