USS Gambier Bay (CVE-73) is an American escort aircraft carrier laid down in July 1943, launched in November of the same year and commissioned into the US Navy at the end of December. The length of the ship at the time of launching was 156.1 m, overall width - 33 m, and displacement - about 7800 tons. The maximum speed of the aircraft carrier reached 19 knots, and its main armament was up to 28 onboard aircraft.
