One of the three serial Ka-25s (Ka-25PS "Hormone-S" intended for search and ritual operations at sea, Ka-25PL "Hormone-A" intended for search and combat against the enemy's underwater forces). The first flight took place on February 21, 1962 under the care of V. N. Evdokimov. The helicopter flew a powerful radar with a data repeater at the ship and coastal control points, which were characterized by long range and rugged flight.
