The UH-60 Black Hawk is a legendary multi-purpose helicopter that became the basis of the US Army Aviation and many countries around the world. The prototype made its first flight on October 17, 1974, and in 1979 the machine officially entered service with the 101st Airborne Assault Division. The Black Hawk's baptism of fire took place in Grenada in 1983, where it proved its extraordinary survivability, its ability to withstand hits from shells of up to 23 mm caliber and continue flying even with extensive damage.
