Assembly model 1/72 Messerschmitt Me-410 Hornisse Italeri 0074

The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a low-wing twin-engine heavy fighter developed by the famous German aircraft manufacturer as an evolution of the Me-210. The heavy fighter was supposed to replace the dated Bf-110s in the flight departments. Powered by two 1,750 HP Daimler-Benz DB603 engines, it could be used to carry out various operational roles. Heavily armed with four 20mm Mauser cannons and with 2 7.92mm machine guns installed in the front part of the aircraft, it was characterized by two other MG 131 machine guns housed in remote-controlled "barbettes" on the sides of the fuselage. The first tactical support and bomber versions could carry an offensive drop load of over 500 kg in the internal hold or in underwing pylons. Distribution to the flight departments was implemented from mid-1943. The Me-410 participated in operational activities on various fronts from Italy to the Balkans to the Eastern Front.
