This cost-effective model set includes 61040 (1/48 North American P-51D Mustang™ 8th Air Force) and 89755 (1/48 1/4-ton light duty 4x4), plus two (stand-up and sit-down) ) pilot figures and two 108 gallon drop tanks from Item No. 61089 (1/48 North American P-51D Mustang 8th AF Aces), with special package and new instruction manual (paint manual) based on Item No. 89755/61089.

The P-51 Mustang had a laminar flow wing, an ergonomically positioned radiator, and a 1,500 hp Merlin engine. and became famous as the greatest fighter aircraft of World War II. The teardrop canopy P-51D was developed in May 1944 and demonstrated its ability to protect the B-17.
