The North American FJ-2 / FJ-3 Fury is an American airborne fighter-bomber of the Cold War era. The flight of the prototype took place in 1951. Three years later, the machine entered service with the US Navy, and in 1962 it was withdrawn from it. In total, about 740 copies of this aircraft were built. Propulsion was provided by a single-engine turbojet engine General Electric J47-GE-2 (FJ-2) or Wright J65-W-2 (FJ-3). The plane developed a maximum speed of 1,100 km/h, and the maximum flight range reached 1,600 kilometers. On-board armament - in the FJ-2 version - consisted of four 20 mm Colt Mk.12 guns.
