Tactical Support Squads replace the standard-issue bolters of their battle-brothers with more specialized weaponry, granting Legiones Astartes strike forces greater versatility and the ability to engage a wider range of targets on their own terms. Each weapon type employed by Tactical Support Squads serves a specific purpose: flamers are ideal for clearing bunkers, trenches, and urban environments, while rapid-fire rotary cannons are used to mow down hordes of lightly armored foes. Meltaguns deliver devastating blasts of thermal energy to destroy tanks, and volatile plasma guns can melt through even heavily armored elite units. Arcane Volkite weapons—including both Volkite calivers and the lighter Volkite chargers—pierce through targets with beams of searing thermal energy.
