ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" is a Soviet-made self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, designed for direct air cover of ground troops, destruction of air targets flying at speeds up to 450 m/s, at distances up to 2500 m and heights up to 1500 m, as well as ground (surface) targets at distances up to 2000 m from a place, from a short stop and on the move.
It was part of the air defense units of the regimental level ground forces.
