The M247 Sergeant York is an anti-aircraft self-propelled gun developed in the United States in the mid-1970s and scheduled to enter service by the mid-1980s. ZSU "Sergeant York" was to form the basis of close air defense of American mechanized troops and provide protection against low-flying aircraft and, especially, against attack helicopters armed with ATGMs. It was supposed to purchase 618 combat vehicles of this. Due to the failure of flight tests, the program was closed in 1985.
