Twin 40mm Self-propelled Gun M42 (English Twin 40mm Self-propelled Gun M42), also known by the unofficial name "Duster" (English Duster, "duster") - anti-aircraft self-propelled gun (ZSU) of the USA of the 1950s. It was created in 1951 on the basis of the M41 Walker Bulldog light tank and was intended to replace a similar M19 installation that used an outdated chassis at that time. It was put into service in 1953, serially produced from 1951 to 1959, about 3,700 M42s were produced in total. In the US Army, the M42 and M42A1 were in service until 1969, after which they were transferred to the National Guard, where they were in service until 1991.
