T-64 is the first Soviet main battle tank, developed in 1960-1967 at the design bureau of the Malyshev Kharkov Transport Engineering Plant on the basis of the Object 430A. Serially produced in 1963-1969, during this time 1192 cars were built.
It is still in use today in some countries. A revolutionary feature of the T-64 is the inclusion of an autoloader for its 125mm gun, allowing for no indication of the crew member's position and helping to reduce the size and weight of the tank.
