StuG III Ausf.G (Sd.Kfz. 142/1) and StuH 42 (Sd.Kfz. 142/2) - the main German self-propelled artillery installations based on the Pz.III tank. Produced from 1942-1943, the StuG III G (the most popular version) served as a tank destroyer with a 75 mm gun, and the StuH 42 was an assault howitzer with a 105 mm gun, providing infantry support with high-explosive shells.
