USS Hawaii (CB-3) ("Hawaii") is an American Alaska-class battlecruiser. First US Navy ship named after the territory of Hawaii. According to the plans, it was supposed to become the third ship of the series. Laid down on December 20, 1943, launched on November 3, 1945, after which outfitting work began on the ship. However, the battlecruiser was never completed despite the fact that there was a plan to complete it as the first American missile cruiser, and later - a plan to complete it as a control ship. On June 20, 1959, the unfinished ship was towed for cutting into metal.
