The Beriev Be-6 "Madge" is a twin-engine flying boat with a "gull" type wing, developed by the Soviet Beriev Design Bureau. The aircraft first flew in the 1950s, and 19 variants were developed during its production run. A total of 123 aircraft were built.
The Be-6 was capable of solving a variety of tasks, including long-range maritime reconnaissance, coastal and supply line patrols, torpedo-bomb strikes, mining and transport operations. The Be-6s of the Soviet Navy remained in service until the end of the 1960s.
