The Macchi MC.200 Saeta was an Italian all-metal fighter with a low wing and a folded landing gear. The drive was provided by one Fiat A.74 engine with a capacity of 850 hp. The flight of the prototype took place in 1937. Serial production continued in 1938-1942, ending with the release of about 1150 machines of this type. The aircraft was armed with 4 Breda-SAFAT machine guns of 12.7 and 7.7 mm caliber, as well as a bomb load of up to 300 kg (in the MC.200CB version).
