Dassault Rafale is a fourth-generation French multi-role fighter developed by the French company Dassault Aviation. It made its first flight on July 4, 1986. Since 2000, it has been operated by the French Air Force and Navy. In 2009, the French Ministry of Defense ordered an additional 60 fighters. A contract for the supply of fighter jets to Brazil has also been concluded.
"Rafal" is made according to the "duck" scheme traditional for Dassault Aviation fighters with a triangular wing, in which the front rotating horizontal tail is located in front of the wing to increase the maneuverability of the aircraft (maximum overload of 11 g). The power plant is two-engine. It can be operated with a runway 400 m long.
