Nanchang CJ-6 is a Chinese licensed version of the Russian Yak-18A. This large warbird was used by many countries of the former Soviet Union and the Communist bloc to train their military pilots, and is now used by the Chinese Air Force as a primary military trainer. In addition, the Chinese built a limited number of the CJ-6 as an attack aircraft. More than 6,600 have been built to date, and the CJ-6 will continue to be used as a military trainer well into the 21st century.
