The Soviet fighter Yakovlev Yak-1b is a modified version of the Yak-1 aircraft from World War II, which was distinguished by an improved M-105PF engine, a new cockpit lantern with improved visibility, oxygen equipment and weapons. The Yak-1B was produced from October 1942 and became one of the most common Soviet fighters at the front, widely used by famous Soviet aces and Polish and Yugoslav aviation squadrons.
