Northrop Grumman X-47B is a demonstration deck-based unmanned combat aircraft. Developed by the American company Northrop Grumman.
On August 17, 2014, Northrop Grumman conducted joint tests with the US Navy of the X-47B paired with a manned F/A-18 Hornet fighter. The flights took place from the deck of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. The purpose of the tests was to test the possibility of unmanned and manned aircraft working together on board the same ship.
In 2015, the program was terminated. One of the reasons for the cancellation of the program was the high cost of the project. In November 2018, at the aerospace exhibition, the Chinese CASIC presented a flying wing UAV that looked very similar to the
