Description
Opel Captain appeared in 1938. It was a beautiful and roomy car. The emblem of Opel in the form of a zigzag of lightning did not yet exist, and the captain was decorated with the image of some swift object - a rocket or a torpedo.
It had a monocoque body and was equipped with a 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine and independent front wheel suspension. The captain had several modifications, including a two-door and a convertible. In the war, the Captain showed himself from the best side. This reliable and unpretentious car was loved by officers on both sides of the front. And after the war, Soviet motorists knew this car not only from films about the war, but also just watching them on the streets of their native cities - trophies, at that difficult time, came in handy.
