The most common all-wheel drive truck of the Soviet Army in the period of the 70s and 80s was the ZiL-131. Its serial production began in 1967. The car was distinguished by high reliability and off-road capability. The basic model was intended, first of all, for the transportation of personnel or cargo up to 5 tons.
