Dodge’s iconic car, owned by Chrysler Corporation. The Dodge Charger underwent minor changes again. A large chrome bumper was introduced, the grille of the radiator is again not divided in the middle. The taillights remain old, but the Dodge Charger 500 and Dodge Charger R/T versions have new, more attractive taillights. Interior changes include new high seat backs, door panels have also been revised. There is a new version of the engine - «440 Six Pack». With three two-chamber carburetors and a capacity of 390 hp. (291 kW), it was one of the most exotic installations in the early 1970s. «Six Pack» was known - it was used in mid-1969 on the Dodge Super Bee and the engines of «Hemi» it was superior. Despite this new engine, sales declined again (to 46,576), but this was due to the release of the Dodge Challenger and high insurance rates. In the 1970 NASCAR season, Dodge Charger scored more wins (10 wins) than any other car, including the special Dodge Charger Daytona and the Lymouth Superbird.
