Description
The mid-engined four-wheel-drive sports car, produced by German car manufacturer Audi since 2007. The R8, like a number of other Audi models, is manufactured exclusively at the quattro GmbH factory, a subsidiary of Audi AG, which is part of Volkswagen AG. The company is based in Neckarzulm near Stuttgart. The Audi R8 is equipped with a 4.2-liter V8 engine using the FSI proprietary technology, which produces a maximum power of 420 horsepower. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed of a supercar for safety purposes is limited by electronics at 301 km/h.
