Gloster E.28/39 (English Gloster E.28/39) is the first British jet aircraft created by the Gloster Aircraft Company for research purposes. First took to the air in May 1941 and became the fourth jet aircraft in the world, after the German Heinkel He 178 and Heinkel He 280, as well as the Italian Caproni Campini N.1. The aircraft was developed as a fighter and had a device for installing course weapons, but it was never equipped.
