Mitsubishi A6M Zero ("A" - fighter; "6" - model; "M" - Mitsubishi) is a Japanese light deck fighter of the Second World War. It was produced from 1940 to 1945, a total of 10,939 units were built. The A6M had technical superiority over Allied aircraft until early 1942, when American units began to arm themselves with the P-38, which could dictate the conditions of the battle, using its advantage in flight characteristics at high altitudes.
