T-80UD (Object 478B) is the main battle tank of the USSR, introduced in 1987. It is a modification of the T-80U with a 6TD diesel engine with a power of 1000 hp. and an anti-aircraft machine gun installation with remote control, carried out by the KhKBM. The first variants were equipped with hinged dynamic protection "Kontakt-1", starting from 1988 - built-in "Kontakt-5", as on the T-80U.
