T-55 is a Soviet medium tank. Created on the basis of the T-54 tank. Adopted by the USSR Army in 1958. Produced from 1958 to 1979. It is the world's first production tank equipped with an automatic anti-nuclear protection system.
Modernization of the T-55A to the level of the T-55M in 1983.
