T-54 (Object 137) - Soviet medium tank. Adopted by the Soviet Army of the USSR Armed Forces in 1946, it has been mass-produced since 1947, constantly being modernized.
T-54A (Object 137G) was mass-produced from 1955 to 1957. Its feature was the D-10TG cannon with an ejection device for purging the barrel bore, with an electro-hydraulic stabilizer in the vertical plane (STP-1 “Horizon”). A safety device was introduced into the gun bolt to prevent spontaneous release during impacts while the vehicle was moving, and a re-cocking mechanism was installed. An ejector for purging the barrel from powder gases after a shot and a lifting mechanism with a release link (protecting the mechanism from damage when touching foreign objects).
