The control and command vehicle M4 (C2V) has a design similar to the design of the carrier of electronic warfare systems XM5 from BAE Systems Ground Systems, but differences in combat equipment dictate the need for changes.
The M4 C2V uses a 10m telescoping mast and has a main power supply unit, an environmental control unit and an NBC overpressure system built into the mission equipment housing.
It is based on the standard carrier chassis of the rocket launcher system (MLRS), which is used in large quantities by the US Army.
The first contract was for the construction of five M4 machines, but the contract provided for three-year options in the amount of 82 million US dollars, for a total of 46 machines with deliveries unti
