Tiger II (German Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf B Tiger II; Sd Kfz 182) is a German heavy tank of the final period of World War II. It became the successor of the Tiger I tank. It was mass-produced from March 1944 until the surrender of Germany in World War II. A total of 489 units were produced.
Also known by the unofficial name "Royal Tiger" (German: Königstiger), which was used by German units.
