Caterpillar D9 is a heavy-duty crawler tractor designed and manufactured by Caterpillar Inc.
The first models were presented in 1954. The bulldozer on this tractor immediately won the hearts of many construction companies from all over the world - it was powerful, reliable and efficient. Although there are various configurations, the D9 is usually offered as a bulldozer with a replaceable grader and an attachable rear ripper. The D9 develops a power of 354 kW (474 hp) and has an operating weight of 49 tons. It is one of Caterpillar's heaviest crawler tractors, ranging from 8 tons (D3, 57 kW) to 104 tons (D11, 698 kW).
