PLZ-05 is a Chinese self-propelled artillery installation (SAU) of the self-propelled howitzer class. In some sources it is called type 05.
Design of the PLZ-05 began in the mid-1990s, and in 2003 the first prototype was built.
The PLZ-05 is a further development of the PLZ-45 self-propelled gun, which was adopted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the 1990s and supplied for export.
